Twenty cabinets, one tablet.

A showroom where you want a loudspeaker to be heard without the visitor getting a technical demo. So the technology had to disappear behind a single control.

Imagination AV Showroom: custom touch interface with live levels per loudspeaker cabinet

How it was built

From cabinet list to demo.

01Starting point

Selling, not demonstrating

Someone who comes to hear a loudspeaker wants to hear the difference, not watch somebody work through a menu. Every second spent on operating the system comes off the demo.

02Design

A scene per cabinet

Each cabinet got its own scene: the right channel, the right level and the matching light, so attention goes to the cabinet that is playing at that moment.

03Build

Twenty cabinets, individually driven

Groups separated, every core labelled, and the installation laid out so a cabinet can be added without the controls having to be rethought.

04Controls

Our own UI, no manufacturer menu

One tablet with live levels per cabinet and a custom interface instead of four apps from four brands. Whoever gives the demo looks at the customer, not at the screen.
