The technology stays invisible
The moment a visitor sees a cable, a projector or a menu, the story is already interrupted. Anything that doesn't belong to the experience we hide, or we build it so it becomes part of the set.
About us
Cuevation is Jason Lupgens and Bas Voets: together more than fifteen years of experience in show technology, automation and immersive experiences. Based in Rotterdam, with the soldering iron within reach.
We met in an industry where we kept seeing the same thing: technology that stayed merely functional. It worked, but it told no story. It didn't land. We both thought that was a waste of a room people travel to on purpose.
Since then we build systems nobody looks at, so that everybody looks at what is happening. We don't just draw it: we program, solder, test and stand there when the doors open for the first time.
A show that runs perfectly once is a demo. We build for the thousandth time.
Who
You get the people who also build it. No account manager in between, no brief that dilutes on the way.

What we stand on
The moment a visitor sees a cable, a projector or a menu, the story is already interrupted. Anything that doesn't belong to the experience we hide, or we build it so it becomes part of the set.
A show that runs perfectly once is a demo. We test on the bench, design for a power cut and make sure the system starts itself in the morning.
Drawings, source code and credentials are yours. We'd like to come back because we enjoy it, not because you're locked in.
What we work with
Not a list of brands: the protocols and parts we build with every day. If your existing installation is in here, our systems talk to it without a layer in between.
