Amate Audio Experience is not a showroom with speakers on the wall. It's a living room that turns into a venue at the press of one button: the lights fade, the curtain opens, the chair starts moving and the cabinets do what they were built for.

01Starting point
A demo room that gives nothing away
The brief was to let people hear speakers without it turning into a technical demo. So we didn't build a showroom but a living room that becomes a theatre at the press of a button.
02Design
Dramaturgy first, schematic second
We wrote the experience out as a cue list: which light fades when, where the curtain opens, which cabinet is live at which moment. Only then did we draw the installation around it.
03Build
Control cabinet, DMX relays and 24 V logic
Groups separated per zone, a SoundLight 3212R-H for the practical lighting, and every wire labelled — including the spares for whatever gets added later.
04Motion
Furniture that plays along
A cylinder under the armchair and a laser reporting its position, so the movement lands on the same frame as light and sound instead of just beside it.
05Handover
One tablet, in the language of the room
The controls talk about work light, show and showroom power, not about universes and presets. Whoever is there in the evening presses one button and the room does the rest.
